Joe Adcock
Born in the latter 1950s (yes, I’m old so, this may be a long read), in St. Joseph, MI; the child of coffee drinking parents, I fashioned my first metal drums by the early 1960s, using 1, 2, & 3 pound (pardon the unavoidable pun) coffee cans that were available at that point in history. I calculate that I may have even discovered my affinity for metal drum shells before the venerable Trick drums creator and CEO, Mike Dorfman did. Hopefully, I am not alone in my amusement with this distorted observation.

Founder / President / CEO Trick Drums
Mike Dorfman
In 1990, when Mike Dorfman founded Trick Percussion Products with a single drum polish and a pickup truck, he had no idea where it would lead him. Decades later, Trick’s products are sold in over 30 Countries, and our products have grown far beyond polishes and cleaners. Mike’s early years in the racing industry exposed him to the precision involved in success. Being a constantly curious person, Mike attended numerous trade shows, analyzing designs and implementations across many technical industries to see how they could apply to the development of the best products created for drummers.
Our products and designs are a direct reflection of our desire to set the highest standard in the industry. Starting with the finest materials available, coupled with the most advanced techniques in CNC milling, and laser cutting machines allow Trick to create precision instruments and products that overcome the limitations traditionally found across the drum industry.

American Me/Sustainer/True Form/Hostilities/Sacrificer
Duncan Allen
Following a failed trombone audition in middle school, I moved over to drums like my mother had suggested (her brother a drummer himself). Ever since I have not been able to put down the sticks.
Throughout my entire life drums have always been there. I was in jazz, concert, symphony, pep, marching, and recreational bands during my entire time in school. I was able to take the knowledge I had learned and apply it to my favorite genre: heavy metal and hard rock.
In 2011 I joined the band American Me (Rise Records) after pursuing several other projects that were successful….but didn’t get where I needed to be. Directly after joining I was thrust into a campaign for a third full length album, European tour, national tour, and endless local shows. While staying active in that band (touring/releasing albums) I was able to form three other bands locally in Portland, Oregon: Sustainer, True Form, and Sacrificer. I’ve been lucky to be a part of a special Soundgarden tribute release as well that raised money for Suicide Awareness in the wake of Chris Cornell passing.
Not only do I drum but I also set up shows/manage/book/promote/generate media for nearly all my projects. If you visit those pages, chances are you’re looking at something I designed.
My projects have been featured on MetalSucks.net, thePRP.com, Lambgoat.com, Alternative Press and several other news outlets.
My big passion now is Drumcan….my personal drum brand where I can cover songs, build an audience, and make myself a personal name with all the bands I am in.
Thank you so much for taking a look. I am available for session work, touring gigs, advice, and anything in between.
I am also endorsed by Diemond Star sticks and use them exclusively.
A “return to form,” for many bands, is both a blessing and curse–especially after returning from the brink of a breakup or while shaking the sleep of a deep hiatus. While being able to reestablish the same sound an artist may have worked hard to establish on past releases is promising, it’s understandable that at the same time, a lack of progression or an interruption in the natural pattern of advancement can be frustrating–for both the artist and the listener. American Me’s III finds itself in the midst of this quandary. While it picks up right where the band’s previous efforts left off, packed with crushing heaviness and contagiously catchy beatdown, there is little tangibly new aspects to the dynamic American Me have already established and used nearly to death. At it’s core, III is an anvil-like juggernaut of metallic hardcore and beatdown. Fueled by political distrust and misanthropy, American Me have created a steam-roller of a release which, once it gets started, cannot be stopped. At the heart of the album, the drums maintain a heavy, deep pounding laden with furiously fast fills and drop-of-a-dime dives into skull-collapsing breakdowns. The heavy, low end provided by the drums is dog-piled upon by both guitars and bass work, which rarely rises from the subterranean depths at which they operate. All three of these elements combine to create a viciously heavy and in-your-face beatdown feel, with just enough technicality behind the drums and just enough occasional groove in the guitars to provide a metallic feel. While the instrumentation is a solid, driving factor, American Me’s real power comes from the visceral vocals and their volatile lyrics.American Me use their vocals and lyrics to paint misanthropic, sociopathic and politically fueled images across their violent, devastating instrumentation. “Submissioner,” III’s second single featuring The Acacia Strain and Shut In’s Vincent Bennett is a thriving display of such an endeavor. While the lyrics are not fundamentally poetic, they are a well-organized and straightforward carrier for the hate and strife American Me aim to deliver. “Son of a Machine Gun pt. III” and “Narcota Night Life” are two more short, intense bursts of vocally-driven anger and anguish which nicely summarize III’s purpose as a whole: a short, furious, to-the-point skull-crusher of an album which punishes the listener before they can even realize what it is that hit them.
While III has a simple goal, and achieves it readily, it isn’t without it’s shortcomings–the most notable of which being just that. It’s an incredibly brief album. While it’s short length prevents the onset of the ever-popular plague of monotony, the incredible number of supporting vocalists and immense variation of track lengths already serves as an apt deterrent to boredom. Clocking in at a little over twenty two minutes, there is just no other way around it: American Me’s III, while a whirlwind of a release, still leaves the listener wanting. III’s other pitfall comes in the form of stagnancy, and really only applies to fans of Heat and Siberian Nightmare Machine. American Me have a tried and true formula of quick, hard-hitting beatdown-influenced hardcore: and while they certainly haven’t backslid with it, they aren’t taking much in the way of new ground, either. For all the time it took for their latest album to come to realization, there isn’t an enormous defining factor to separate it from their past releases. III is more of the same, even if “the same” is just what the listener might be looking for.
So while it isn’t a step or a leap for hardcore-kind, American Me’s III is a punctual, break-neck maelstrom of anger and chaos that’s sure to cure beatdown boredom. Loaded with visceral vocals, vicious lyrics, and intense, pummeling instrumentation, American Me provide a distinctly…well, American take on the metal-infused hardcore that might not be food for the mind, but is definitely fuel for the mosh.

American Me – Heat (Review) – Sputnik
Review Summary: Its so easy to differentiate between acts in such a flooded scene. All it takes is for everyone to stop bullshitting and make room for those who matter.
American Me showcase a refreshing listen in a crowded scene of intense hardcore. Although Rise Records has let loose a dozen new releases in the last few months of the same demeanor (Recon, For The Fallen Dreams, ADBOK), American Me sneaks in with a punishing 19 minutes of raw carnage.
The tough-guy hardcore on this debut is evidently in the vein of its predecessors. However, avoiding the chug-oriented masses in recent months, the group delivers a fresh approach to aggressive beat-downs. “Attribute Of The Strong” welcomes the listener to the field of American Me with a balanced groove and a solid assault on the ears. The rough production automatically triggers interest avoiding the polished production of current Zeuss-produced-quality-deathcore. Although quality production should never be shunned, nu-metal quality in hardcore (recent releases such as “The Respect Issue” and White Chapel’s “This Is Exile” come to mind) is often distracting since the majority of the album revolves around pro-tools and leaves the weight of creativity for the computer. “Heat” proves American Me to be in full attendance and no overdubbed gang shouts and explosive analog bass are going to shadow the bands debut.
The musicianship of the quintet is as tight as any other band that spends 10+ months of the year on tour. Full of surprise squealers and guitars bending over backwards alternating from left to right, going back and forth by Phil and Brian Blade, the duo is able to showcase chemistry that hasn’t been felt or heard since Converge’s Kurt Ballou and Nate Newton premiered their home video footage on “The Long Road Home.” A connection such as this develops only through time, shared experience, and an understanding focus of one common goal: CREATE PASSIONATE HARDCORE.
The lyrical content on “Heat” should also be made note of. With emo-psychology seeping into the seams of acts such as Misery Signals, Sky Eats Airplane, and yes, even Bury Your Dead, American Me is able to distance itself from the pack and derive its influence from a variety of topics. “Said Nothing Began Firing” is a perfect example that’s based on an ancient office shooting ala-Wild, Wild, West style. Tony Tataje’s capability to churn out bellow after bellow shocks even the most advanced listener.
Coming in at just above 20 minutes there’s hardly enough time to conceptualize the effort. With each song clocking at or below two minutes its great to see the tracks roll one by one into a snowball masterpiece. From the contagious strolls through tough-guy city and into the depths of DUI HXC, American Me have a terrific tendency to leave a mark.

Members of American Me, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Those Who Lie Beneath, and More Team Up for Chris Cornell Tribute Album to Benefit The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention – Metal Sucks
Here’s a chance to get some cool music and support a great cause:
Portland, OR’s Rose City Collective was initially formed in 2015 to perform a benefit show for The Ghost Inside following that band’s horrific bus crash. Featuring members of prominent Portland area bands like American Me, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Those Who Lie Beneath, Across the Sun, and Sacrificer, the collective performed a benefit show which raised a whopping $2,000 for The Ghost Inside. Earlier this year, they did another show, this time in honor of Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, which managed to raise $2,300 for The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. Whether or not you appreciate the bands for which these musicians are best known, you can’t deny that this has been an excellent use of their status in the music community.
As of today, the Rose City Collective is no longer limiting its fundraising efforts to benefit shows: they’ve recorded a seven-track tribute to Chris Cornell, featuring covers of such Soundgarden classics as “Black Hole Sun” and “Outshined,” and will donate 100% of the proceeds, once again, to The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. I say again: not a single penny is going into the pockets of these musicians. In a statement, the group says “we felt it was our civic duty to make this record.” There’s absolutely nothing in it for them, other than the satisfaction of helping those who need help.
Incidentally, the album is really good. Personally, I’m especially fond of the “Pretty Noose” cover, which utilizes female vocals and speedy double-kick drums to inject some new life into an old gem.
I strongly encourage you to buy the album, which is just five bucks. Whatever you were going to use that five bucks for, this is surely better. Purchase and stream links are below.

AMERICAN ME DRUMMER DUNCAN ALLEN INTERROGATED. – Capital Chaos
American Me is a metalcore band from Portland, Oregon whose music also featured elements of various genres of heavy metal and hip hop. The band was formed in 2006 and signed with Rise Records in late 2007 releasing three full length albums to date. The music is often described as “brutal hardcore” and is known for its fast pace and heavy sound.

The album received praise from reviewers for exhibiting a unique, heavier style of hardcore punk, combining hardcore punk and heavy metal with a slight hip hop edge. Nicky Bellmore
Nick Bellmore- Biography
Watching his father’s band practice in their basement in Hamden, Connecticut, Nick’s love for drumming began developing when he was eight years old. His father bought him his first kit in 1992 and he hasn’t stopped playing since. Nick’s first bandmate was his brother Charlie, and they have been writing, playing and touring the world together for twenty-eight years.
Nick’s early influences were classic rock and roll bands that his father and uncles turned him on to. He also grew up on grunge and then discovered Connecticut locals Hatebreed early in their career. After immersing himself into hardcore, Nick fell in love with Metallica and added heavy metal to his playing regimen.
In 1997, Nick started his first band, playing every possible local opening slot just for the experience. He maintained an active presence in the local scene also by loaning gear to traveling bands just to help out. Soon, Nick developed a love for recording and established a studio in his basement. Recording his own and all of his friends’ bands, he built up his skills as a session drummer and producer and launched his recording career. In 2001, Nick opened his first commercial studio. Recording became his career and priority, though he continued playing in local bands and session drumming. By 2006, his new band Phantoms had been gaining popularity. Once Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed realized that Nick had produced Phantoms’ album, he was so impressed that he hired Nick to be his recording engineer. Nick’s current studio, Dexter’s Lab, uses the industry’s top equipment to mix and record local and signed bands. The studio is always booked with bands when Nick is not touring. Nick also mixes and co-produces Jamey Jasta’s podcast, The Jasta Show, at Dexter’s Lab.
In 2007, Jasta asked Nick to join his band Kingdom of Sorrow on a three-and-a-half-month tour opening for GWAR in eighty-one cities. Unaware that this would completely change his drumming career, Nick agreed. On this tour he met the band Toxic Holocaust, who then called Nick to ask him to join the band after their drummer left in 2009.
Since that first tour with Kingdom of Sorrow, Nick has played with Toxic Holocaust, Jasta, Kingdom of Sorrow, and his latest project, Kings and Liars, on many tours all over the world. Nick has recorded all of his own projects and closely supervises writing and production in all of his bands. In late 2017, he started a new recording project with Dee Snider putting together Dee’s new album “For the Love of Metal,” which will be released by Napalm Records on July 27th. Nick co-wrote, co-produced, recorded, engineered, mixed, and played drums on the entire album. Nick was then asked and hired by Dee to be his touring drummer on a world tour that starts in July of 2018. This includes large festivals, tour dates and TV appearances. Nick is looking forward to gaining increased exposure on tour with an industry icon and what is hopefully just the beginning in his enterprise of higher-profile recording projects.

I was raised in a musical family, my father was a drummer, grew up in band practice spaces and in clubs. Picked up the sticks at age 9, been playing now for 30+ years, and and no matter how long I’ve been doing this I always find things to learn. From 1994 till now, I’ve dedicated most of my life to playing drums and being in bands. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been involved in numerous signed and/or touring bands and always make sure I’m available to whatever may come up. Besides playing drums, I now own and operate my own studio recording and producing.
I am a heavy hitter, need my drums and hardware to hold up, and Trick makes the best quality. As for the sound of my kit, I can’t think of a show where the sound guy didn’t come up to me after the gig and go on and on about how good the kit sounds. I have found Tricks drums to be warm when need, aggressive when needed, and everything between depending on how they’re hit. For the 10 years of being in the Trick family, never have I had an issue with the kit, and I always get the best help from all those who work there. I’m here to stay, as long as they will have me.

Dherryk Doucette
I started drumming at the age of 14 in my hometown of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. In 2013 I moved to Toronto to start my current band, Centuries of Decay. Our debut album was released in 2017, and in 2018 we were named the winners of the Wacken Metal Battle Canada. This gave us the opportunity to represent Canada in the finals at Wacken Open Air in Germany that summer. In 2020 I became the winner of the 3rd season of Banger TV’s “Shredders of Metal.”
Though I love playing fast double bass, blast beats and odd time signatures, I also really enjoy building quiet, atmospheric sections using various rudiments and interesting cymbal work. My focus is always on being precise, powerful and creative.

I am a professionally touring multi-instrumentalist with a high focus on precision and ergonomics, two things that I have found Trick Drums do extremely well.
I play a wide spectrum of rock and metal music, and my Pro-1Vs always get the job done smoothly and comfortably. I get compliments all the time on my pedals, and I thoroughly enjoy introducing new people to the Trick name. One of my bands is the direct support for rock legend Ace Frehley, and I had the pleasure of showcasing my Trick products to his drummer Scot Coogan and his drum techs. They were particularly impressed with my Pro-1V hi-hat.

Eye Remain
Mark Hoag
I started playing at 14, and was into early rock and punk. I started playing in my 1st band a year later and never looked back. No formal training, I just learned by watching and taking bits of what I liked and putting my own twist on it. I’ve been in a handful of bands over the years. My most recent project is Eye Remain. Other than playing drums in this band, I also do a bit of the writing, music, lyrics. And I am the founder. The band was founded in 2006 and is classic hardcore, thrash, etc. In the last 4-5 years I have been the most serious about drumming and I now practice at least 5 days a week. I wish I wouldve been doing that this whole. The trick gear helps me to be able to focus on playing and not worrying about malfunctions. I’m really glad to be here!

Devin Mascilli
There has rarely been a time in my life where drums weren’t the focus. Since I could remember, drums were the only thing that mattered. I was surrounded by music since day one — I always had a pair of sticks in hand as a result. By the time I could walk, I started playing an old Premier set with a floor tom converted to a bass drum. I absorbed and mimicked everything I could, although I was particularly drawn to metal and fusion. When I hit 11, I began studying with a local jazz drummer, Gary Polyfak, who, over the next four years, was key in shaping my ability to interpret sheet music and transcribe.
For the last seven years, I have been gigging locally and along the east coast with various metal and rock bands, further developing my skills. Additionally, I have been doing session/freelance work and teaching lessons full-time with a program tailored for any player, at any skill level. My students range from the age of four all the way to 60, including hobbyists and professionals alike. Recently, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jami Morgan — drummer of Grammy-nominated Pittsburgh hardcore metal outfit Code Orange, who I’ve helped brush up on his double bass technique and approach.
However, the stage and recording studio is where I feel most at home. My hardcore band, Settle for Nothing, has released two EPs and developed a loyal following in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. I’ve also started a new Death Metal band with a local producer, Shane Mayer, where I plan on demonstrating the more intricate side of my playing. All of this is geared toward becoming a better, more well-rounded player. While I have been playing for nearly my entire life, I feel as though I’ve merely scratched the surface. Between my passion for drums and relentless drive to get better, I look forward to continuing my journey as a drummer.

I’ve been a Metal Drummer since first picking up sticks in my hometown Cedar Falls, IA in 1994. Am self taught (never 1 lesson) & continue to learn. I’ve been in many bands through the years & done it all, just shy of the tour bus. Proud to say my drumming is on a few CD’s; only 1 saw the light of day. I cofounded the old school thrash/death/doom band I’m currently in, Pain of Evolution, in Des Moines, IA 2014. After almost 25 years as a Metal Drummer, I wanted to expand my playing, so in 2017, I cofounded my 2nd band, Full Sequence (Alt Rock/Grunge/Blues/etc) in Des Moines, IA. Both my bands play out at least several times a month (we’re workin stiff’s)
Both bands have long term goals of writing more/recording demos & eventually studio time (when $ permits) & to keeps playing as much as possible, eventually expanding out of Iowa into the Midwest & hopefully beyond!

ADRENALYN
Karrie Collins Grimes
Who says girls can’t rock?… seeing and meeting Karrie Collins Grimes will put those words back in your mouth! She has the distinction of not only being the foremost female drummer in Schuylkill County, but having a reputation of the heaviest hands and feet you will hear! Following the lead of her dad Eddie, and brother Keith, in was inevitable that Karrie would pick up a pair of drumsticks, and in the early 90’s, she began her love affair with drums, as pictures of flashy kits & Rush’s Neil Peart adorned her bedroom walls. Being a working girl with a newspaper route, she soon plunked her weekly earnings on a used Tama Rockstar kit at the nearby Terrace Music Store. In 1993, Karrie began kicking out the backbeat for her first band Branded Planet with bassist Jim Heller of Pine Grove, & guitarist Dave Rohland of Carlisle. Then after graduating from Pottsville’s Nativity BVM High School, she enlisted with Uncle Sam in the U.S. Army. In 1997, Karrie was tapped to join the all female act Boo Boo Kitty. The group was an immediate hit on the club circuit, and was invited as support act for The Badlees, Back in Black, and The Armadillos. Next, came joining forces with classic rockers Onionhead, Then in 2000, as her brother Keith vacated his drumming seat in The Rocket 88’s,Karrie sat right down for the next five years, enjoying much success with her father Eddie, and high profile gigs with The Coasters, Bill Haley’s Comets, and other legendary artists. During 2005, the Hazleton based Better Than Monday, needing a full time drummer, being impressed with Karrie’s talents, but knowing her demanding schedule, decided to utilize her… and when not available, hire a fill-in… her brother Keith! Not one to sit still, in 2006 Karrie was invited join the ranks of John Donovan’s project Copper Seven, and in addition to their live shows, was featured on the CD “Anchor.”’ Later that year, Trick Drum Co., of Chicago was seeking Factory Test Plots for their fledging company, and Karrie was added to their roster !! Karrie has had the opportunity to perform for famed drummers Liberty De Vitto of Billy Joel fame, and A.J. Pero of Twisted Sister. She has also worked aside such rock figures as Vixen, Saliva, Quiet Riot, Robin Trower, Jackyl, Filter, Saving Abel, Static X, Government Mule, and more! Currently, Karrie lays down the grooves with her husband bassist Lee Grimes, for the area powerhouse Adrenalyn. As an aggressive young lady, also works on a free lance basis with an impressive list of former and current artists, including SYX, Category 5, Badd Monkee, YMI, Plan B, Octogon Speed Chuck, Johnny K. & Co., Class Act, and others. Karrie describes herself best as “… A chick with sticks,… will travel!
My Trick Drums testimony:
While being brought up in the musical world
under my fathers wing, we grew
up playing your traditional wood kits,
well, this is not your traditional kit.
When I was looking to invest in a
new kit and trying to choose the
best kit to suit myself, I took a few
trips to Dales Drum Shop in Harrisburg PA.
Each time I went to Dales I was drawn
back to the TRICK drum set.
The presence and response of the
TRICK drums is difficult to fully explain
to someone who has never played
them. To really understand, you just
have to try them out!
After experiencing the overall sound
and performance of these drums,
it was obvious to me that I had
to become a TRICK chick!
TRICK drums are built to reach those
peak sound levels I had previously thought
were only attainable through studio/sound
board effects!

Sam (Sick Dominator)
Born on February 22, 1991 in Lima, Peru, of dual Argentine and Peruvian nationality.
As part of his training, from his childhood he grew up between drawing, art and music.
At 06 he received his first battery as a birthday gift that achieved a unique gear and amalgam between him and his instrument, which became an extension.
Around the age of 12 he began playing in a church, where his passion for music was increasingly evident and especially towards the drums.
Thanks to that platform and that talent, he began to forge himself in percussion and in the acquisition of his new professional drums.
It is at that moment that he meets some boys who saw him play in the church and where they casually sought a drummer for a PostHardcore project, a challenge for his 12 years but not an impediment; Already consolidated as a band and with a few years of age they performed at various events of the local scene,
With that base he became better known and sought to form other projects.
For 2009, the band Deathcore D.Y.G was formed, which produced an Ep of 4 tracks, participated as a support band in the concert of Hedor (Colombia).
In 2010 he traveled to Argentina to study at the Superior Conservatory of the City of Buenos Aires, Astor Piazzolla.
taking among them courses such as: contemporary rhythms and alternative percussion.
In 2011 he formed a technical death metal project “Cromogeno” in the city of La Matanza – Argentina, participating in the local events of the great Buenos Aires. and in parallel also playing in the band Devoured by Granp, Deathcore of the capital.
For 2013 he returns to his hometown, that’s where he forms the brutal Death Metal band, Intestinal Laceration.
with which a year later he recorded his first and simple video “ENJOY YOUR PUTRID FLESH”, which has about 10K
of visits on YouTube for 2015, the band produces its first debut CD “SPECIES OF PUTRID MINDS” with COYOTE RECORDS (RUSSIA)
He is currently finishing the production of his new album and a small South American tour.
From 2016 to 2018 he had several collaborations in recordings with live session bands and concerts.
It is in 2018 that he joins the band Grind Hardcore, Cannibal Master being that year where they release the video clip. “Weapons of mass destruction” and open the concert for nuclear assault, as well as many others (Napalm Death, Suffocation and Nervosa)

Independent/Session Artist
Jon Dale
Jon’s interest in drums, discovered during his early childhood years, came to fruition at age 11. He would inevitably become a multi-instrumentalist in the ensuing years, but drums always held a special place for him.
Pulling from a wide range of influences (mostly towards the heavy variety), he has cultivated a tech/groove-oriented drumming style that lends itself perfectly to the many projects he has been involved in, and is unmistakably his sound.
After paying his musical dues in bands like Sprung and Target the Messenger (who later went on to work with Grammy Award-winning producer, Neil Kernon) Jon made the leap into recording and producing bands himself.
It was from behind the mixing board that Jon honed his production, mixing and mastering skills to a razor sharp point. It was also during this time that he became friends with the cofounding members of A Killer’s Confession. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fausto Jr Idini
I’d start playing drums when I was 9, immediately having lessons with Riccardo Colasante, an important italian drummer in jazz music. I’d studied with him for 8 years, and next to this I went at Claudio Gioannini’s Staff Music School.
I began to interest myself on Metal, and I improved my metal drumming and techniques with David Folchitto from Stormlord. I love metal music, but I’m also interested in Latin and Afro styles. I’d studied it with Armando Bertozzi’s books, one of the most important drummer in this kind of music.
In 2016 I went to Australia, Adelaide SA, explaining my personal Afro/Metal Drumming at The Gov and having some interviews at Radio Adelaide and Radio Italiana.
All the shows and the other stuff were planned by Kosta Perkas from Derringer’s Drums Shop and Paul Reading.
In 2017 I moved in UK looking for a new experience.
In 2018 I joined the Trick Drums USA family using their pedals.
During the years I played with many bands and artists. I begin play live when I was 13 with Rock Yal Sugo. We were the youngest band of our territory. After them I played in the same time in other projects: some classic metal covers and with Requiem, Nightwish Tribute Band. When I was 17 I started play with Mizar. They were a big speed power metal band with ten years work and experience. They changed line up and I entered in. We had played in all Italy, working with the Extreme Agency of Rome. Unfortunately we stopped the project for various reasons. Then I play with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Tribute Band called Otherside, also with Otherside I played in a lot of cities and clubs. In 2012 arrived my biggest music experience, I played with the big Irio De Paula, one of the most important brazilian guitarist in the world. Playing with him I grew humanly and musicaly. We started play the famous jazz-samba and bossa standards in Brazilian culture. We played with our Latin Quintet and also with the orchestra. That was so cool!!!
I played with the “The Police’s Tribute” called The 911. My biggest interest goes to Novomundo: my Tribal Groove Metal band. I write all the instruments and lyrics, I’ve wrote our first album Baktun on 2013 and now I’ve finished the second one: The Cursed Cult.
In 2017 I joined NEID during their Italian tour with the American Punk HC Legends M.D.C.

Breaking Benjamin
Shaun Foist
Shaun Foist (drummer, Breaking Benjamin) has been laying down a heavy, meticulous groove on the road and in recording studios for numerous Midwest and East Coast rock bands for over 18 years.
As the drummer for Hollywood Records recording artist ‘Breaking Benjamin’ since 2014, Shaun won rave reviews from both fans and his peers for his expertise on two albums: ‘Dark Before Dawn’ and the band’s latest album release, ‘Ember’ (on which Shaun has his first songwriting credits). With the band’s ongoing worldwide touring, Shaun’s fan base has become legendary.
In the summer of 2013, he received rave reviews as the drummer for the opening act on the Alice Cooper / Marilyn Manson ‘Masters of Madness – Shock Therapy’ nationwide tour.
Championed and inspired at a young age by his father, Bill Foist (who played drums in classic rock bands from the 70’s up until his untimely passing in 2013), Shaun acquired his core drumming skills from his first and best mentor, while also sitting in on his dad’s band rehearsals in the basement of their Middletown, OH home.
Shortly after turning 10 (and at his father’s prodding), Shaun entered his grade school’s talent show, playing to the Allman Brothers song, ‘In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.’ He received a standing ovation and was invited to join the Madison Junior High School band. It was at that moment Shaun knew being a drummer would become his life’s passion and profession. While still in high school, Shaun received citations from Miami University in Oxford, OH in both 2000 and 2001 for Drums and Percussion, as well as receiving the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award for the 2000/01 school year.
Shaun garnered the drumming basics from his father, but also acquired practical knowledge from studying DVD’s and books… as well as embracing his natural ability and letting his instincts guide the beat.
Over the years, Shaun’s drumming interests have crossed the musical spectrum… Rock, Jazz, Metal, to flavors of R&B. Though founding several bands with roots in Pop and Hard Rock (Diesel 129, Masonclover, Black Saints Cartel) and with his core skills grounded in Rock and Metal, Shaun still views himself as a multi-dimensional drummer with no creative boundaries. His eclectic skillset behind the drum kit has landed him on numerous tours (Hinder, Warped Tour, ‘Seduce and Destroy’ with OTEP and One Eyed Doll) and sharing billing on tours with Trapt, Rev Theory, Dope, Shiny Toy Guns and Soil.
Shaun’s precision, versatility, high energy showmanship, skill and confidence as a drummer was further bolstered by working in the studio with producers Robert Hannon, Dave Cobb, Shawn Grove and multi-award winning music producer David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Paramore), forever changing the way he looked at drums and his approach to playing them.
With influences including Neil Peart, Tommy Aldridge, Tico Torres, John Bonham, and Danny Carey Shaun continues to study and be inspired by the work of his contemporaries – and considers live performance and touring two essential keys in fully developing as an artist. When not recording or touring, Shaun enjoys passing his valuable insight and experiences on to his own students – and through drum clinics.
